Great-grandfather Nelson taught his two sons, James “Housie” and Alfred “Tank”, how to not only survive in a time when it was extremely dangerous for “negro” men, but thrive and go on to be great assets to the people of their community in a major way.

When someone needed some help, whether it be a housing situation or groceries for someone’s refrigerator or someone’s child needed new shoes these were the men who were called upon time and time again. They were true gentleman who took care of their people, and that giving spirit has been reborn in Alfred’s grandson Tahir with a mission to retrieve what the thief has stolen and rightfully return it to its proper owner.
